About homeopathy...

Homeopathy is a complete system of medicine that treats mental, emotional and physical dis-ease. It is one the most widely used systems of medicine in the world today. The remedies used are derived from plants, minerals and metals. It is natural, safe, effective, and non-addictive.

Homeopathy treats not just the immediate symptoms, but also treats the root of the problem. By treating the whole person rather than just the disease, homeopathy delivers effective and long-lasting results. It works by stimulating the body’s own natural healing capacity, and so the range of conditions which homeopathy can help with is almost limitless.

My experience and work as a homeopath...

As a homeopath I have many years experience in private practice, and have taught homeopathy in colleges for over twenty years, at all levels from beginner to post-graduate. I have given talks at conferences and have published articles.

I work as an Integrative Homeopath. That means I take a practical and holistic approach to homeopathy, and use homeopathic remedies alongside other supportive measures as appropriate. This may include: the use of flower, gem and power animal essences, herbal remedies, nutritional supplements, dietary advice and other treatment measures.

What treatment involves

The homeopathic consultation consists of an initial hour-long session taking a full and detailed case history. After analysing the case, I prescribe the homeopathic remedies, alongside any other supportive measures. Follow-up sessions are then usually on a four to six weekly basis, depending on what is appropriate.  

I work in Lancaster in north-west England. I also offer telephone work in homeopathy, for clients who live too far away for face-to-face work.

My fees are between £40 and £70 per session, depending on income (I leave it to people to decide what they can afford to pay, within this range). There is no extra charge for the initial consultation. The fees include the homeopathic remedies.
